Hydrogel for grapes
Steadier root-zone moisture for drip-irrigated vineyards through the dry months.
Why water matters for grapes
Vines are most sensitive to water stress from flowering through berry development. Uneven moisture at that stage is linked to poor berry set, smaller berries and cracking when water returns suddenly.
When to apply
- At planting of new vineyards — mixed into pit or trench soil.
- In established vineyards — before the fruit-pruning season, so granules are in place when demand rises.
How to apply
- Make 2–4 holes or a shallow ring 10–15 cm deep under the drippers.
- Mix hydrogel with soil or compost, place, cover and irrigate.
- Keep granules off the surface; sunlight degrades them.
Recommended product
